Objectives:

To learn about the importance of electron correlations for modern materials science.

To understand the meaning of quatum fluctuations and its impact on the evolution of ordered states.

To learn about principles of advanced experimental methods and their interpretation.

To understand the basic concepts to treat quantum many particle systems and its implications.

To apply this knowledge to understand and to assess modern research trends in the field of "quantum materials".

To understand relevance for applications
