Optical characterization of doped organic layers
Organic semiconductors mostly suffer from low intrinsic charge carrier densities and conductivities compared to inorganic semiconductors. Thus, electrochemical doping is often applied, especially in transport layers for organic LEDs or organic solar cells. However, the process of molecular doping is still not fully understood and challenges like diffusion of dopants need further investigation. Tasks within this work will be the preparation of doped layers in our cleanroom environment as well as measurements with different spectroscopic techniques.
