In this thesis you will carry out a "closed-loop" experiment in which a brain-inspired neuromorphic computing system is combined with a traditional computer. The neuromorphic system implements a spiking neural network and represents the "brain" of an artificial creature. The traditional computer simulates the physics of a simple environment in which the neuromorphic creature has to thrive. Experiments are carried on the BrainScaleS machine located in the backyard of the physics institutes (container building 227b).
