2026

• 3-7 August 2026: Heichips 2026: HeiChips was a one-week opportunity for networking, exciting lectures and a hackathon on designing a custom chip (that will be subsequently taped-out on the IHP 130nm CMOS5L Open Source PDK)
  
   
• 24 July 2026: Brain inspired computing workshop as part of the PhänoMINTal Tag at Heidelberg University
   
• 15 July 2026: Grundsteinlegung LEMS
  
   
• 17-19 June 2026: International Symposium on Highly Efficient Accelerators and Reconfigurable Technologies (HEART)
  The symposium is a forum to present and discuss new research on computing systems utilizing acceleration technology. 
  
   
• 23 April 2026: at the Girls' Day 2026 two workshops were held at the EINC:
  • The BrainScaleS system offer ("Neuromorphe Computer - Das Gehirn im Labor nachgebaut (ab Klasse 8)") by the Electronic Visions group - see this news item for a recap.

• 4 December 2025: AMH event: "Barbarafest" for the Infrastrukturkanal
• 20 November 2025: internal project meeting
• 4-8 August 2025: HeiChips Summer School

  HeiChips is a one week opportunity for networking, exciting lectures and a hackathon on designing a custom chip (that will be subsequently taped-out on the IHP 130nm BiCMOS Open Source PDK)

  The HeiChips Summer School is kindly supported by Heidelberg University and BMFTR (the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space). Attending the event and all social activities is free of charge. However, participants have to arrange travel and accommodation on their own. Please see the meeting desccription page for the application process.

  Neuro Inspired Computational Elements Conference (NICE) 2025 - "the" neuromorphic computing event. For the first time in Europe!

• EBRAINS days 2025
  • 11 March 2025 (internal meeting)
     
  • 12 March 2025
    EBRAINS tutorials and users day: "Accelerate Your Neuroscience Research with EBRAINS" (agenda).
    Target group were (computational) neuroscience researchers and reserachers interested in neuromorphic computing.
    
    The special "EBRAINS tools for teaching" part of the day was also attendable separately.
    Target group for this part were school teachers and educators in the Biology area.

• 8-9 July 2024: uTP4Q project meeting
  Monday and Tuesday project partners from Belgium, Denmarkt, Slovenia and Switzerland met in Heidelberg to present the latest results achieved as part of the uTP4Q project. This two-day meeting provided enough time for a long discussion about new ideas and plans for the next steps of this micro-transfer printing project and also for many informal talks to strengthen the cooperation between the project partners (info)
