EINC Building

The EINC (European Institute for Neuromorphic Computing) building is is situated on the science campus "Im Neuenheimer Feld" of Heidelberg University, Germany.

  • On the campus map of Heidelberg University (pdf document) the EINC has the building number 6245 (Note: the building numer (6245) and the street-address address (Im Neuenheimer Feld 225a) are not identical for the EINC):

 

Getting to EINC

Train station

Heidelberg Main Station (Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof, use bahn.de for time table information)

From Heidelberg Main station to the institute:

  • 25 min walking distance
  • or 5 min by tram:
    • use tram number 24, direction: Handschuhsheim Burgstraße.
      The tram departs at Heidelberg Main Station from "Steig E" outside the station building (see the plan of Heidelberg Main station).
    • leave the tram at station "Bunsengymnasium" (~ 3 min walk from the tram station to the institute)

Airports

  • Nearest airport for traveling to Heidelberg: Frankfurt international airport (FRA)
    • Train Station in the airport itself: Frankfurt Flughafen Fernbahnhof (use bahn.de for time table information)
    • About an hour by car.
      Info: we used the TLS shuttle service in the past. A shuttle for up to 7 people costs around 160 Euro single trip. This shuttle needs to be booked in advance.
  • also relatively close: Stuttgart airport (STR).
    Train station in the airport: "Stuttgart Flughafen/Messe". (use bahn.de for time table information)
