Overview
The chair of Computer Science/computer engineering focuses
on applications and advancements of computer science in natural sciences, in particular in Physics.
One example are Applications in the area of particle physics,
where fast trigger processors are used, which are developed in this group.
Trigger processors are distributed and often massively parallel
processor systems or computer clusters, which often have very tight real time requirements.
The group researches and develops new computer
architectures and required software in the frame work of clusters up to GRID computing.
