The seminar is primarily intended for students doing their doctoral or diploma project in experimental particle physics. The first half of the program is devoted to the calorimetry in general. We shall discuss different calorimeter arts, shower processes, and how they are implemented in simulation programs. The second half is about jet physics, in particular jet reconstruction and calibration and some aspects of QCD jet signatures.
